Original Berry

Original Berry is available as feminized photoperiod seed, or as feminized auto flowering seed. This version is feminized photoperiod, meaning the plant will take more time to deliver final product and will be over all bigger in size. But it will also need more attention. Photoperiod plants need their lighting schedule adjusted to switch to flowering phase. Because this seed is feminized, it will 99.9 % sure develop as female plant.

The genotype of this strain is 80 % indica and 20 % sativa. It is a mostly indica strain. This strain originates from Afghani indica, Thai sativa, Highland Thai Afghani hybrid and Mexican sativa. Some of its ancestors are Purple Thai and Temple Flo. It comes from the Blueberry line of strains. The strain dates to the late 1970’s.

This strain can be grown indoors, outdoors or in the greenhouse. Indoors, the flowering period ends after 8 to 10 weeks and produces around 450 to 550 grams per square meter. Outdoors, the plant is ready to be harvested in October, and produces around 500 grams. It reaches medium height. Growers have reported that the growing difficulty of this strain is easy, and that plant is pretty resistant to different factors. It is a large producer under optimum conditions.

A dense and stout plant produces buds with red, purple, and finally blue hues, that usually cure to a lavender blue. They can contain around 20 % of T and a medium amount of C. The finished product has a very fruity and sour aroma, accompanied by the taste of a blueberry. It produces a notable and pleasantly euphoric high of the highest quality and is very long lasting. It has medium to large calyxes. Original Berry has a long shelf life.
